Transient Light Original Oil Painting by oconnart

A vibrant and atmospheric interpretation of the British upland moorlands and wild hills, capturing the wild beauty of the landscape beneath a dramatic contasting yellow and purple wild stormy evening sky, as a fleeting shaft of bright sunlight illuminates the sky. Inspired by the wild remote moors of the Highlands of Scotland, the english Lake District, Pennines, and Welsh mountains.
Rich blue mountains rise across the horizon, while blue deep greens, ochres and golden tones sweep through the rugged foreground. A small burn leading the eye into the distance and creating a sense of depth.

The expressive brushwork and luminous palette evoke the ever-changing light of the wild moorlands—where moody skies, distant hills and open wilderness come together in a landscape that feels both powerful and serene.

Painted with a palette knife using quality artists paints on a small square format 8" x 8" (20 x 20cm) canvas, with a varnish finish and white square profile wooden frame with cord ready to hang.
