Telmessos. (2026) Original Watercolour by Anastasia Beytuzun

"This original watercolor fine artwork captures the majestic Amyntas Rock Tomb, a breathtaking masterpiece of Lycian architecture dating back to 350 BCE in the ancient city of Telmessos. Carved directly into a vertical limestone cliff, its iconic columns and temple facade beautifully blend classical antique styles with ancient traditions.

The painter focused on the powerful contrast between the eternal, weathered ancient stone and the vivid, fresh Mediterranean greenery. A solitary traveler in the foreground adds a profound sense of scale and human connection to history. Soft, luminous watercolor washes perfectly reflect the hot sun and hazy mountain air of the coast. Painted on premium 100% cotton archive paper (300 gsm), this architectural artwork brings a sense of sophisticated heritage and timeless atmosphere into any contemporary space."
