My Interpretation of Petite fille pleurant (1891) by Albert Bartholomé
I encountered this small sculpture in Paris and was deeply moved by it. Despite its modest size, it carries a profound emotional weight—an intimate portrayal of sorrow and innocence.
This painting, inspired by Bartholomé’s work, was exhibited in Bologna in 2023 during the Fabriano Festival.
I chose a turquoise green for the background to contrast with the pale white and ochre tones of the little girl, emphasizing both her fragility and emotional depth.

Painted on acid-free 100% cotton watercolour paper with professional quality watercolour paints, ensuring the colours do not fade over time.

I'll send this painting in a reinforced envelope with a tracking number
