Reflections (2025) Original Oil Painting by franco orsi

This 15x20 cm oil on paper artwork, titled "RIFLESSI" (Reflections), captures a dynamic and highly atmospheric landscape defined by bold, dramatic contrast and energetic impasto brushwork. The composition features a dark, steep slope cutting down from the left, rendered in deep earthy browns and intense strokes of fiery red and golden ochre. This dark terrain gives way to a shimmering body of water in the lower right, where thick, textured slashes of white and subtle blues create vivid light reflections. Above the shoreline, a monumental, explosive white cloud dominates the muted grey sky, executed with wide, gestural palette knife strokes that infuse the entire scene with motion and raw natural energy.
