Original artwork description
Identity, uprooted. My Korean story begins in Russia, and the absence of a foundation is a physical sensation – there is no solid ground beneath my feet. The sense of belonging shrinks to a heavy fragment, permanently suspended in the void.
Without soil, heritage does not fade. It blooms as a peony – moran in Korean. The enormous flowers have no room on this severed scrap of earth, yet they continue their stubborn, heavy bloom. There is no one to share this with.
Ships rolled in a rigid tube. Can be stretched on request – in that case it ships in a wooden crate, with an extra shipping charge. Message me before purchasing.
