human flow WALL 19 (2026) Original Wood Sculpture by Manfred Hellweger

The wall installation ‘human flow WALL 19’ combines nine different types of wood: larch, lime, maple, mahogany, Swiss stone pine, European beech, sycamore, spruce and walnut.
The precisely glued veneers form a vertical composition, the elements of which taper to different lengths towards the bottom. This creates a dynamic, flowing form that expresses movement and change.
The ‘human flow’ series draws on the concept of ‘Panta rhei’ by the Greek philosopher Heraclitus: everything is in a state of flux; nothing remains as it is. The sculpture translates this principle into an organic design language and makes the dynamism of life visible.
The brushed, natural finish emphasises the individual grain patterns and colour nuances of the various types of wood. A hanging mechanism on the reverse allows for easy mounting on the wall.
