Evening Reflections (2026) Original Oil Painting by Aleksandr Dubrovskyy

When I painted Evening Reflections, I wanted to preserve a moment that lasted only a few minutes. The evening sky was reflected so softly in the still water that the landscape seemed to dissolve into light and color.
This small oil painting was created quickly, directly from nature, allowing me to capture the freshness, delicate color relationships, and quiet atmosphere before they disappeared. Rather than painting every detail, I wanted to hold on to the feeling of standing by the river as daylight slowly faded into evening.
For me, this work is a reminder that some of nature's most beautiful moments exist only briefly, yet remain with us long after the light has gone.
