Painted plein air on the Costa Brava, Spain, this painting explores the ever-changing reflections of light dancing across the clear Mediterranean water.

Rather than focusing on the surrounding rocks, I was captivated by the movement of the water itself. Emerald greens, deep blues, and silvery whites merge together as sunlight filters through the narrow coastal passage, creating an endless pattern that changes with every ripple. Thick, expressive brushstrokes preserve the immediacy of the moment while emphasizing the transparency and luminous quality of the sea.
