Dragon - Sovereign of legends (2025) Sculpture by Toth Kristof

THE DRAGON – SOVEREIGN OF LEGENDS

🔷 MY VISION:
In this sculpture, I approached the legendary dragon not just as a fairy tale creature, but as a complex architectural challenge.
My style focuses on sleek curves, sharp lines, and geometric simplification. Perched proudly on a raw, heavy natural stone, the dragon spreads its powerful wings, its body defined by a rhythmic sequence of spinal ridges and polished facets.
It represents one of the twelve signs of the Chinese zodiac. Through the deep, dark green patina and structured form, I wanted to freeze a sense of majestic power, dynamic discipline, and ancient mystery.

🔷 WHO DID I CREATE THIS FOR?
I designed this sculpture for collectors who appreciate a refined, modern approach to classical themes. It speaks to:
🔹 Devotees of cubist-inspired contemporary bronze and minimalist figurative art that values structural precision.
🔹 Lovers of folklore, classic fairy tales, and animal fables who appreciate seeing timeless stories reimagined through a sophisticated artistic lens.
🔹 Everyone born in the Year of the Dragon (1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012, 2024), seeking a refined, personal talisman of courage and inner strength.

🔷 WHERE TO DISPLAY:
The explosive contrast between the structured bronze and the organic stone base creates a powerful visual presence. It is ideal for:
🔹 A spotlighted alcove, a sleek fireplace mantel, or a marble-top entryway table where its geometric edges catch the light.
🔹 An executive boardroom, law firm lobby, or high-end design studio to project stability, focus, and creative ambition.

🔷 I hope this sculpture brings a sense of structural harmony, protective energy, and refined artistic discipline into your environment.
