Cold burn (2021) Screenprint by Emmanuelle Orr

This screenprint is based on an old photo I really like, which I had tried to create something with several times over the years, until I came up with this design.

it is an eight layer print, a blur of blues and greens creating a rich gradient on the arms and the legs, and darkening in the background. I love the patterns that the halftones creates on the chest and in areas where the layers overlap, the angles of the dots becoming an almost abstract design on the limbs and body.
