About Anthony Galati

Biography

Hi my name is Anthony Galati. I've been drawing for more than 40 years and painting for more than 30 years in various mediums. I’ve always known that I would be an artist from a young age. I’m from Northern New Jersey and I graduated from Tyler school of Art at Temple University in with a BFA, majoring in painting. My forte is oil painting, but I still do drawings as well (I’ve been getting into working on toned paper lately) and my favorite subject is the figure. I also enjoy painting landscapes. My most substantial motivation when choosing subjects or coming up with a composition is finding and creating beauty. I’ve shown in various states across the U.S., and have sold work to collectors as far reaching as the U.K. and Singapore. I've been on Saatchi Art for a few years. Despite making a few sales there, I recently learned that they don't really push realism at all. So I began looking around for new places to sell, and I came across Art Finder, which seems like a great new place for me to sell my work to collectors that are looking for the kind of art that I create. I also like the you encourage artists to build long term relationships with their buyers. I have work to sell, I just need the eyeballs of the right people to see it so that they have the chance to decide if they want to make it a part of their lives.
