Original artwork description
This charming oil painting on canvas belongs to my popular Bruegel series, bringing characters from great historic works into a fresh composition. The piece is based on Pieter Bruegel the Younger’s painting titled The Egg Dance, featuring village life with people drinking, a fiddle playing music, buildings, a church, and a barrel, but with my own playful twist of introducing a dancing egg.
Through the relationship between the various elements within the work, rich hints of narrative and representation emerge for the viewer to discover.
Add this delightful conversation starter to your collection today and enjoy a unique piece of art inspired by timeless masters.
