    Its to cold to venture to outdoors to my Studio

    I've been taking over my dining room for the last view days, as my studio is at the end of my back garden and its way to cold to venture outdoors, I've been working in the dining room, central heating on and snug as a bug lol, I HAVE to paint everyday, its part of my life and i love it passionately Heres a few more of my paintings which I've finished but i still need to take photos of to upload onto Artfinder, then i can varnish them.......... but i need to go outdoors to do that !!! and its cold (I am a wuss :)

    Wow the Super Moon, although it was cloudy it was an amazing sight. Wandering through the sand dune and onto the beach with my trusty old Lab Frank at midnight last night inspired me to get to work on some lovely paintings. The first one is not quite finished yet I want add put a few more layers over the moon area to give it a more misty hazy feeling as that was how it looked. The next one just need the sides painting and varnishing, hopefully I'll be added this to my site this evening Sue x

    Am absolutely chuffed to mint-balls, just done a little dance around my studio. Just sold my first piece of artwork on Artfinder (fingers crossed it could be the first of many) thank you Faith :) hope 'My Eyes Adored You' enjoys it's new home It never fails to amaze me how excited i feel when I sell a drawing or a painting, the feeling never changes, I sold my first painting over 20 years ago at an Arts & Craft Fair and the butterflies in my tummy and excitement is the same now as it was then. I think all artists have a little bit of apprehension as too whether their work will be liked and sell (I know I do), so when it does sell, its the best feeling ever

    A Day in my Studio

    Its been a cold, wet and windy November day, but I've had a fun day in my studio, a cuppa tea, a choccie biscuit or two (maybe 3) a roaring wood burning stove and a fantastic day The first piece i was working on is a 16" x 12" on a winsor and newton canvas which I've named 'Light in the Darkness'. I've mainly used a palette knife and mixed my colours with Golden Heavy Gloss Gel, which gives the colours an amazing gloss effect, the colours I've used on this piece are Bitter Chocolate, Burnt Umber, Metallic Royal Ruby, Metallic Copper, Silver, Gold and Cream. It has a smoky, moody feel to it. I really enjoyed creating this piece I hope you enjoy viewing it as much I i enjoyed painting it. Thanks for looking (and reading) Sue x

    This is my main profile picture and me and my boy Frank, Frank my faithful old Black Lab, who often sits with my in my studio or just outside the french doors If the weather is cold I bring him inside as he has Arthritis. I get lots of inspiration from Frank as the looks of love and contentment he gives me melts my heart and makes me feel happy and joyous which make my creative juices flow
