New Limited Edition Silhouette Dog Paintings

New Limited Edition Silhouette Dog Paintings

Its been a few years since I last painted my Silhouette Dog Paintings and they were very successful, I was selling them mainly at Art & Craft Fairs throughout the summer months - when it was nice and warm :) I have attached a few photos of me working on these paintings; I start with drawing a very light outline of my chosen dog, I then paint the edges in the colour the dog is going to be (keeping my hand as steady as possible) then I give the dog a few layers of its colour and wait to dry I will be adding lots of different breeds of dogs over the coming weeks (might even throw in a cat or two), if there is a particular breed of dog you would like me to paint a silhouette of please let me know and I will produce a limited edition, or alternatively I can produce a commissioned painting as a one off for you

Cascade - Large Abstract Acrylic Painting

Cascade - Large Abstract Acrylic Painting

I have been working on this painting for a few weeks and am really pleased with the end result it really is a truly dramatic abstract painting with highly textured surface I created multi layered textures on the canvas using Gesso and Molding Paste plus my secret ingredient :) Using palette knife and brushes layering strong vibrant colours. My friend commented it creates a stunning visual impact when you walk in the room Thanks for reading hope you like the painting, considering offers on this artwork. Thanks Sue

    My first creation

    My first creation

I thought I would share with you my first ever painting. I painting this a long time ago ! I bought my art supplies from Fred Aldous Art & Crafts Store which was in Lever Street, Manchester. I think it might still be there. It was scary as they were very expensive at the time and it was a bit extravagent but I adored painting, and still do to this day This was my first ever creation, it has moved home with me 8 times, and always gets a prominent wall position in our new home, it has great sentimental value I hope you like it x

Its to cold to venture to outdoors to my Studio continued ...........

Even though I am being a wimp not going outdoors because its cold, I am using my time wisely. I have been doing a pencil drawing of a roaring tiger. My inspiration for this is from a photograph of a Tiger from Chester Zoo which I visited last summer, admittedly the Tiger wasn't roaring LOL (in fact he was asleep, or basking in the sun - ohhhh how i wish for that warm sun) but I'll use my 'artistic lisence :)'
