Communications with Lena were excellent. The painting was well-packaged and dispatched quickly (with a note to warn how fresh the paint was!). It's a vivid and fascinating artwork - I've already spent a fair bit of time just sitting and enjoying it. Lena also kindly sent a print of a white-tail deer photo, which was a very pleasant surprise - she is clearly a very talented photographer. Makes me want to visit Colorado soon! Thank you so much xx

I love the work with the palette knife. It is unusual but very pleasing in both texture and color. I addition she threw in a print of a photo she had taken that I love. I am framing the print. Very conscientious and friendly as well. dave

If I remember correctly, this listing said the painting was unframed. Actually it came framed. I wasn't particularly happy with the frame and don't know it I would have actually purchased the picture if I had know the work was just on a flat piece of canvas.

The gorgeous visceral texture of this piece draws me in every time I look at it. Lena's palette knife technique mimics the peeling bark of an actual birch tree. Moreover, the vibrant autumnal coloring and variable complex values of the piece make me stop often as I pass it in my foyer on a daily basis. In my opinion, Lena is by far one of Artfinder's best artists, and it gives me great pride to own her impressive work.
