Proud to have this lovely picture of the birches in my living room. I have property elsewhere--with birches--and when I am homesick I look at this painting fo rminutes at a time.

Dear Henry, I'm so happy to hear from you and I feel as you towards birches. Russians love their birches, they sing, paint, write about :) White-trunk birch became the symbol of spring, light and love to the fatherland. The word “birch” is very ancient and is connected with the verb “to keep, to take care”, since the Slavs considered the birch as the protecting people gift of God. The year began with spring and people celebrated it not with fir, but with the birch. Here in Colorado, the aspen is the most exquisite tree. Beloved by artists and photographers. Because I paint those two trees. Best wishes to you!

Lena's work is beautiful. My wife and I now have 3 paintings from Lena, and will continue to purchase her artwork in the future. On top of her great work, she was also very helpful and easy to work with during the entire ordering/purchasing process. Sorr I do not do this it is I ratting. Your painting is simply fantastic. My rating is aimed at the marketing which I don't like Fill in thegaps as you see fit I love it. My only comment would be to paint it 2 meters by 3 meters but your probably not up to that. Paint large there is a strong market in me ( but I may be in a minority) keep painting, your style is strong and I love the depth of paint. Look to the Masters Jp

I did not realise how much anxiety I was creating by not being in touch. I have been very pre occupied these last few weeks. Art finder is a little pushy with the amount of repeat emails they send but I guess that is just the way they do things. Back to your art. I like the depth of paint and the use of the knife combined with colour gives you a good style. You interpret you subject well and it would be good to see how you might achieve the Birch Trees in large format. When you have a skill, enjoy it, and this will come through in your work. You have a skill for colour and movement. There is a lot to learn and practice of course. I do big sizes for local galleries, but to ship, I did not figure it out yet. There should be better way to deal with custom fees, I'd be glad to pay them, but USPS don't have such option.. in any case, I'll look for better ways to deal with it. From the very beginning, I placed myself in your 'shoes' and I guess, I understood you well. And yes, Artfinder is pretty pushy, I receive a lot of adds from them each day... With your reviews, believe me, I was very very pleased, despite I received low score and all one star marks ;) just because you did not critique the quality of the painting, though you could. To be honest, to paint big size of similar painting is much easy for me, than small one - palette knife is not a very gentle tool. (I'm doing commission of 12"x12" now and I spent more time with it, than bigger one... ) And last - I'm very grateful for the experience and how it ended. Package arrived safely - some paint was stuck to the packaging. Lovely note included by Ms Owens. Overall, very satisfied.

Wow! I discovered ArtFinder last week and took a chance on this painting because I loved the color and subject. The painting arrived today and exceeded my expectations. The colors were true to my monitor and the palette strokes are beautiful adding even more depth. I plan to hang it my bedroom in a corner with my comfy chair for reading.

love this painting! Better in person. Sent very quickly. Arrived perfectly. Would love one of her larger paintings! Such a peaceful feeling. Will always remind me of Colorado. This was my 1st painting from Artfinder and I would not hesitate to buy again in any size. So glad I discovered this site!
