    I gave my outside studio a good old clear out today, which I really enjoyed in the lovely spring sunshine. Now it's ready to use all the way through till next winter.

    Inside Studio

    It's far too cold in deep winter to work in my outside studio, so I take over a room in the house. My dog Teddy is my muse!!

    I am potty about snow and absolutely love painting it!! This photo is the beach at Kingsdown (the village where I live), it's from a few years ago when we had heavy snow and the White Cliffs were even whiter in the snow!

    Sketching Today

    Sketching Today

    A quick sketch to bring back the memory of the fabulous white cliffs and big waves at St. Margaret's Bay (on the Kent coast) today. The gorgeous Autumnal light was blinding on the sea and the surf and I wanted to be able to recapture the feeling of the day in a painting back at the studio.

    New Sea View

    New Sea View

    I've had the most amazing Easter present in the world - my neighbours chopped down an enormous tree that was obscuring my sea view. I am now in heaven as I can constantly watch the ever changing light on the sea. Yesterday morning I was rewarded for my efforts of scrambling out of bed early, to watch my first most spectacular sunrise over the sea. The best view is from the bedroom so of course I now have to keep paints there too!!
