the piece didnt blow up as well as i thought it would-its almost poster like - also it already looks like it needs to be restretched

The piece is not blown up the printing process uses interpolation, but it is a semi abstract which uses a number of layers to create it's depth effect so how it appears is how the artwork was created and intended to look.
The type of cotton canvas used goes through a 60 inch printer and is varnished so does not stretch like a painted canvas and would not normally need re-stretching.
It is a very popular piece in galleries which I sell through I guess seeing it in a gallery is certainly an advantage in making a decision before you buy.

Completely false advertising and dishonest. They promoted a picture I just purchased as last in stock. Just a week later I get another alert - only four in stock of the same picture. It makes me wonder if they have sold hundreds of the batch limited to 50 and anything else they say no. It also puts the same doubt on this artist and every other artist they represent.
Just not good enough. It might be legitimate but it certainly looks anything but that.
The package arrived bent and the artwork damaged just to top it all off.

Unfortunately the customer made no effort to contact me with regard to any issues with this order and did not respond even after I contacted them so I was not given any opportunity to address any problems.
To address the issues, I sell through a number of outlets on-line and in selected galleries so all 50 of the edition is not available through one gallery. Each print is hand signed and numbered on the back and no more then 50 are ever produced.
On this occasion I had a number of the edition at an exhibition when the exhibition ended the remaining prints which had not been sold came back to me so were added to the available stock through Artfinder. As I state in the description of a piece listed the stock level shows how many are available through Artfinder not the total amount of the edition left.
Artfinder is the only gallery I sell through that does stock levels all others sell a single signed and numbered print at a time.
I am sorry if the customer misunderstood the term " in stock" but it could have been easily resolved if they had contacted as they were invited to do when I messaged them when I sold the piece and again when I shipped and thanked them for their order.
At no point did the customer inform me of any damage to the artworks. Prints are sent sealed in cellophane between two single walled cardboard sheets and in a do not bend reinforced envelope and are very hard to bend or damage and to this date of over 300 prints I have shipped this is the only one that has been damaged and as I said if the customer had reported this I would have happily resolved the issue with them but I was not given the opportunity.

I love this work of art. There is a lot going on but it isn't messy or chaotic. I find myself looking at it often. I purchased it unframed and put it in a thin black metal frame, and it looks amazing. I have had a number of people ask me where I got it. I will purchase more of Mr. Hemsleys art

Thank you Pam for your kind words. It is always great to hear when a collector enjoys a piece I have done. This is a favourite piece of mine and I can often be found staring into it as it hangs on my wall at home.
