    Peekaboo my latest work

    Peekaboo is a beautiful acrylic painting on canvas ready to hang. This painting focuses on the child in a field of flowers who is looking out through the flowers in search of something or someone. One could assume it is because she is searching for particular flowers that she's gathering in her tiny hand or perhaps she is playing peekaboo with her mummy near by. Whatever her purpose may be to be there alone in the field, you have to admire the beauty of this child and her innocence.

    Girl with a Tulip

    Girl with a tulip was inspired by my daughter who picked up a flower in the park and was holding it ever so gently before she crushed it and threw it away of course! She's only 18 months so I don't blame her curiosity for crushing things. However I admired her initial gentle approach which is rather naturing and caring. Although the girl in the painting is not my daughter but I tried to capture the essence of the moment we both shared. I hope you like it :)

    White Blossom my latest art work

    This is my latest artwork acrylic on Strathmore artist paper. I think my strength is painting flowers and landscapes. I am currently exploring painting with palette knife and I love the texture and depth it creates. All of my work are one of a kind and no reproduction of the same painting in the same way unless it is for the same client. I am working on more of this type of painting coming soon.

    TORTURED SOULS

    Tortured souls...isn't that what us artists meant to be? I paint because I can't wait to see whether my hands can follow instructions from my eyes. I paint because I love beautiful things including people. I paint because I love to paint. I used the word 'love' a lot because there's only one word in English to describe this feeling but in Tamil my mother tongue there are so many different ways to describe the different kind of feeling which all comes down to 'love'. I am no tortured soul. I am Kumi Rajagopal. I am here to paint.
