    It is now officially fall! Paintings are drying more slowly, this one is almost ready.. The sea in November has that deep meditative gray...no it is slate...now it is the black of coal. The sky melts into the ocean and the mist blends water and the atmosphere. I painted this using only Payne's Gray and Titanium white. Fine oils from Gamblin, finishes with Gamvar varnish. 12x 16", sides painted black so it needs no frame. Sawtooth hardware attached to back. Signed on back to not interrupt your view.     ..as soon as they are dry that is. Set a goal to take at least one to completion this week, did two! Went with a prussian blue background with the oranges, took it from 'meh' to 'wow'. So inspired by the beautiful Spring flowers everywhere! Mandarini: 9 x 12". Tulips: 5 x 7".
