    Big, heavy texture, oodles of bright colour . I've absolutely loved doing this one! :-) The only time I ever sketch out a painting first is when it's for a commission as I want to make sure that a client and I are on the same page when it comes to what the final image is going to look like. The rest of the time it's straight in with the paints....

    Ever wondered how your artwork will be packaged?

    Tissue paper, then bubble wrap, ribbon and tag, corner protectors, a sheet of cardboard covering each side, more bubble wrap then a sturdy cardboard box. The corners of the box are taped for extra protection and if it's going a long way the box is then placed in a plastic mailing sack to protect it from the weather on it's travels.. just a bit careful as I want my artwork to arrive with you in the same condition that it left me! :-) All paintings are sent either via Royal mail (for smaller paintings) or courier in the UK and can take up to 5 working days to arrive so please let me know if you require an item urgently as I can arrange to send via a guaranteed service with Royal Mail. I will ship work worldwide and smaller paintings are sent via the Royal mail tracked and signed for service. Some larger paintings will not have a worldwide delivery option. ..this doesn't mean I won't send it outside the UK.. this is to ensure you get in touch so that I can find the cheapest option depending on size and where you are in the world. x

    My first solo exhibition is up and on until the 18th October in the arts wing (level 1) at the Grand Theatre in Swansea.

    With all this lovely weather we've been having, I've been going through my paintings to see what else I need to do ready for my first solo exhibition in October. Had to be done outside because I'm running out of room inside!! I decided to varnish them all at the same time....
