    Packaging Ready-to-Hang Artworks

Just like creating a piece of unique ready-to-hang art, packaging aluminium-mounted or stretched canvas prints so they arrive in perfect condition takes time, care, and quality materials. I wrap the piece in tissue paper, before cocooning it in trusty bubble wrap. Corners and edges are most susceptible to damage in transit, so a thick protective foam 'glove' is added all around the work, as well as more bubble wrap covering the front and rear. The shipping box is clearly labelled, and the box also has extended open edges, creating a 'crush zone' which gives further protection to the corners. Finally, the package is entrusted to either Royal Mail or a reputable global courier service. There are no absolute guarantees once we hand over to someone else's care, but taking these steps has ensured that I have never suffered a damaged artwork, despite shipping all over the world.

    Head For The Hills

One of my favourite places to shoot, the Lancashire hills, where the constantly changing play of light and shadow on the landscape and its features creates breathtaking moments every day. Here I am, standing on a Yeti. It's a Skoda Yeti...there is no abominable snowman in this picture.

    The Possibilities of the Materials

Not exactly 'me at work', but part of how it is created. Polaroid Image Elite c.1990, films by The Impossible Project. Polaroid stopped making film, and instant cameras, many years ago. But thanks to Impossible, the creative possibilities in instant photography have not disappeared.
