A long winded review but please read... I decided to get a portrait of me and my wife after a very serious few years of major operations and health scares for me. I had a photo I wanted Jo to copy that had accidentally caught the love for my wife, concern and sadness I had for the future all as described by Jo as... " Tender " . I may not be around for a long time and as a relatively young man it is very very important to me that my wife has a picture that reminds her how much I love her and how I never ever want to leave her. So I was asked to write a review by Jo after we had received the portrait she did for us. I thought long and hard what to put and I couldn't make this review any shorter. Jo not only had to paint a realistic portrait but also copy a treasured photo of mine..and on top of it all my wife is black! And black skin is not always painted in a sympathetic light. As people will see, Jo nailed it So with all that in mind here is my review... This picture was for my wife's eyes only to be put on the wall in her walk in wardrobe/ Home office. A very nice bright spot, pride of place, just for her. But as my wife unwrapped it she said there is only 1 place for it.....in the living room for all to see. So I had to make space for it. I cant even explain how happy my wife was and continues to be with it. And in turn this makes me happy too Absolutely has to be 10 / 10.

Jo Beer is talented and communicates well. The painting I got from her of Bob Marley embodies emotion, which is all one can ask for in a portrait!

Thank you for your review- much appreciated. I was following the tracking for this one, and transit took longer than estimated, but that has become a bit of an feature in this current Covid situation unfortunately.

I received "Sculpted" (2016) today. Communication with Jo was very easy, and delivery from the UK to the US was extremely fast. It was such a joy to open the box (which was both packaged and delivered with care) to discover that the painting was even more nuanced (and rich in color) in person. I'm so glad to have received this wonderful piece and happy to give it a home in San Francisco. Thank you, Jo!

Beautifully and securely packaged, and the painting itself was exactly how I imagined it presented in a quality frame. It was delayed due to Covid-19 restrictions which I was already expecting and Jo kept me posted every step of the way of its tracking. Would highly recommend. Claire

I have wanted to buy something from Jo for some time but lost a couple of pieces through dithering. Then finances did not permit. When I saw "And Pause" I knew I had to jump in quickly because the painting is so dynamic I feared I would be disappointed again. The painting is even more striking in the flesh and has caused a complete rethink with regards to moving other paintings and furniture to accommodate. Not only is Jo a hugely accomplished painter, her efficiency and kindness during our communications stand out. I can't stop looking at my new painting and feel so lucky and privileged to have been able to make this wonderful work of art my own.
