    Commission - "Sweet Beginnings"

    To celebrate the birth of my dear friend Jennifer's new baby, I painted this hopeful, whimsical portrait of her in her 7th month of pregnancy, full of grace and the promise of new life. The saturated colors and circles represent to me the circle of a beautiful life, richly lived. This was painted in my old apartment in Willamsburg, Brooklyn. It now hangs proudly in Jennifer's bedroom where her sweet boy Ren can point to it and say, "That's me in Mommy's belly!"
