Flavio Furlan has an extraordinary eye for beauty and detail. His inspired artistry comes to life when he translates that vision with paint on to paper. The dancers are a composition of vibrant color and their movement is carried on by the bold sweep of his brush. He conveys a passion and an expressive depth that is captivating. Flavio contrasts smoldering red, coal black, with stark white light to bring his images to a fevered pitch and tender hearted clarity. Bravo!!! The ordering, mailing, and delivery was easy, smooth and prompt.

The watercolour golden retriever is absolutely beautiful. More beautiful than it looks in photo. I have already brought it to the framers and can’t wait to hang it in my home. :) Flavio was prompt with his replies and went out of his way to help me when I asked for a particular shipping method. Fast shipping and well packed. The most important, the painting is beautiful, but there's something more....magic. Looking at this painting you can feel the emotion, the mystery, the beauty....Contrast between dark and ballet dancers is excellent. Dark backstage is a masterpiece and Flavio Furlan is a enormously talented painter.

Actually, I reviewed an earlier painting by Flavio that was of an owl in flight. Flavio’s art technique (and I am not an expert, just affected by what I see), brings one’s focus on the essential elements of the painting and are in detail and quite striking while fading away from those elements to allow the viewer to interpret in their own unique perspective. The earlier painting of the owl in flight conveys actual movement in the owl as you view it, not just a painted owl in a static form in the air as you view it, as is the usual case with most artists. I see his paintings as being much more dynamite than many other painters. This technique conveys a realness to the subject often missing from animal drawings. In this painting of an owl not moving, Flavio once again is able to convey the realness into the owl, giving viewers the impression the owl is actually alive and looking at them. Flavio’s artwork is a steal for the prices he charges and I believe any buyer will be thrilled to own one of his pieces. He is also a gentleman and a pleasure to work with.
