    I have had THE most amazing time on my residency that I won through Artfinder. Donated by the founders of the Writers and Artists residency Beulah and Ziggy. Beulah is also on the board of Artfinder. I am not one for words ( I use paint) however, thank you to you all, the most generous, creative, accepting wonderful 28 attendees with me and all the staff at the Château. This is my studio on the 3rd floor of the château which has 10 other studios on this floor, along with other rooms, two writers studios and bedroom, a washroom and library. My heart is truly full!! <3

    PARADISE

    PARADISE

    One of the paintings created whilst at the Château during my 2 week residency 16th-29th of September 2025. My inspiration of this ongoing collection began after a period of loss and grief from losing my father in 2024 and my mothers devastating stroke a few months after. My mind was numb..head full of fluff. Then a few months ago I painted a mural in my downstairs loo to uplift the dreary space. After posting the finished result on instagram I know have commissions to uplift their downstairs loo's. The flowers I imagined for that then changed in depth of playfulness and joy after visiting the Saatchi gallery in London's summer show of 'Flowers in Art and Culture', a few paintings began to develop after this. Then my soul and very being was shifted to pure joy and creativeness at the Château d'Orquevaux artists residency by the view from my studio window and the people all around me. 'Paradise' is permanently displayed at the gallery at the Château d'Orquevaux, France.

    'Salt and Stone'

    Original artwork description: This 49" x 29.5" painting on canvas captures a serene coastal scene where the waves gently crash upon th a pebble strewn shoreline. The soft hues of sky blue and golden light suggest either a dawn or dusk, adding a sense of tranquility and timelessness. Five seagulls glide effortlessly above the rhythmic surf, their presence adding movement and life to the composition. The intricate detailing of the stones creates a beautiful contrast between texture and fluidity, inviting the viewer into a peaceful moment by the sea. * 49" x 29.5" (124.46cm x 74.73cm ) *The edges are painted so framing is not necessary but optional *Strung on the back, ready to hang *Varnished with artists quality satin finish varnish *signed on the front *Also signed, dated and titled on the reverse *Packaged carefully and sent tracked within 3 days of purchase * Sent flat, apart from Australia and New Zealand where the painting will be removed from it's stretcher bars and posted rolled in a tube for safety. * certificate of authenticity *The buyer is responsible for any customs tax that may occur, depending on your country.     I'm honoured to have won Artfinders category 'Best of Acrylic painters' for 2023. I found out in February 2024 that I had won! Off to the CHATEAU d'ORQUEVAUX, ORQUEVAUX, in France for a 2 weeks arts residency! Whoop!

    Completed new painting, January 2022 Growing Wild, 40" x 36" As I will be selling my house and moving from South Wales to North Oxfordshire. My new stdio will be in a converted garage. I look forward to 'painting' the floor again over the next years of my life.

    My studio, I love this place, it is in my home in South Wales. This has been my studio for almost 16 years. The studio I had before was in an attic for 2 years and before that in a converted large stables for 4 years...I am moving on again and my studio will be in a converted garage in Oxfordshire. I look forward to layering even more history on my new space as I have here. I love the floor in my studio. I can almost recognise the different splatters in relation to the paintings I have created.

    I feel lucky agin to be approached by Dunelm stores UK for a range of 4 of my paintings to be in print onto cushions as well as my beach scape onto canvas. Keep working , head down, working twice as hard and loving it. Creating is the best!
