    A friend and I decided to spend a couple hours at Belliver forest on Dartmoor during the summer, it was lovely to get out for a short spell and the weather was glorious.

    Sketching at Pentillie estate in Cornwall, I usually draw a quick 10-15min tonal sketch with colour notes, so that gives me a memory of that particular scene for when I get back to the studio, other times I will do a full watercolour or oil sketch.
