In this case the client wanted a specific view, size and colour as a gift for a friend ,commissioned pieces are always a challenge but thrilling when you hand them over to a happy customer.

    Ok I am off to a good start ,I always think preparation of the canvas is really important as I build up my paintings in many layers the base colours are sometimes not even evident in the finished result painting skies takes many layers, I use structure paste with Acrylic paint.....this is just the beginning !
