    Working on a new painting in the Studio October 16

    I've just started work on a new painting for the Artfinder /Liquitex competition, this is my third entry I'm not sure if it will be completed by the deadline. My paintings take a long time to create I can work for days on the background colour then build up layers of foliage and flowers, this is a slow process but really enjoyable(as long as I get it right!). Halfway through I will probably change the colour of the back ground adding l subtle shades and tones. When I am satisfied with the structure of the painting I will work on developing the foliage and adding layers to the foreground.

    Exhibiting in the Somerset Maugham Gallery at Whitstable's Horsebridge Centre. My final exhibition for the summer season, it was a very successful week ,lots of sales and met some lovely people. But its great to get back to the studio and start painting again!

    I organise this annual open air exhibition Art in the Park it takes place in the beautiful surroundings of Canterbury's Westgate Parks . We had beautiful sunshine and lots of wonderful artists showcasing their work to the public, its always such a great day meeting lots of new people.:))
