An astonishingly talented artist. I am honoured to have a portrait of his sister in my house and delight in the depth of emotion that emanates from it, the muted, subtle and beautiful colour of her dress and the light falling on her face. It is an incredibly moving portrait and brings me a sense of peace and wonderment.

Scratch the idyllic surface of Igor’s beautiful landscape scenes and you can tell he knows of the hardships and struggles of those living in poverty in the countryside. Nature may be pretty but it is also cruel. There is an almost uncomfortable realism in these pretty pictures. In juxtaposition to these scenes are Igor’s portrait paintings which lay bare the soul of real people not princes. This particular painting is so moving that it has brought tears to the eyes of some who have seen it - more sombre than any of Picasso’s blue period, and painted with such incredible skill. I am so happy that I purchased it and have it on my wall. Arrived very promptly (for Russia!), and strongly packaged.
