Seems sound enough. In the past, have bought a couple of other paintings online from Tim. All artwork is signed by the artist and has previously arrived with an accompanying hand written postcard saying Thanks. Nice touch. Artfinder: A very easy website to navigate. Transaction was simple and more importantly for me, they kept me updated via email regarding dispatch and delivery. Would recommend and use again.

A most intriguing and interesting composition, rich with colour. I've bought several of Tim's previous paintings, and always enjoy his bold use of acrylics to create a fascinating panorama. This painting has two distinct elements - a house interior with fish, goblet and flowers on a table, looking through a window at St Ives Harbour. I really enjoy the colour palette and composition of this painting, and it has (for me anyway) some interesting resonances with Christian symbolism - from the fish on the table (using a classic symbol of Christianity in the simple geometrical representation of the fish) to the Celtic Cross apparently visible on the Church through the window. I've no idea if this symbolism was intended by the artist, or simply something I'm picking up (as a Religious Studies graduate, I'm probably more prone to seeing religious symbolism than most!) but my perception of the symbolism definitely adds an additional dimension to my response to the painting.

Hi Martin, I am pleased you like the painting. It is a slight variation from my usual graphic outline paintings with two line thicknesses used in a loose and fluid style and a monochrome interior. It is something I shall return to soon as I enjoyed doing this painting. I did not pick up on the religious symbolism myself, but who knows, maybe subconciously I intended it.
