Downeast Maine is one of my absolute favorite places to paint. This is a photograph of me working at my son Alex's house in Lamoine. To the left is Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park. Here, I am working on the piece "Seaview Way Fall Colors" Interestingly, my son and his girlfriend moved from Washington D.C. to downeast Maine. He is now working as a lobster fisherman!
New to Artfinder this month, here's a photo from a recent exhibition of my work at London's Brick Lane Gallery.
This is a back stage shot from one of my current projects, 'The Castle, Reverie.' The location is the beautiful Roccacalascio Castle, Abruzzo, Italy.
Last year I escaped the cold weather in Chicago to celebrate Easter in Hawaii. While I was there the beauty of nature inspired him to paint outdoors. The result is my painting, “Garden Pool, Palm Villa, Oahu.”
I'll be spending the Easter weekend in my studio in Minneapolis. I am fascinated by mark-making, symbolism, shamanic traditions, myths and legends and the raw power of primitive art.
