"ORDINARY DAY - FRAMED, 2015" by Maciej Kuran

“This drawing shows people on the tube. Everyday on the tube I look at the people's faces which seem to be saying "NEXT ORDINARY DAY". I often feel overwhelming atmosphere, anxious people full of different problems, people in a rush watching the time on their watch. Sometimes I would love to say "people, slow down, smile there are much more important things than being in a rush for money?" Life is cruel, money is important, but it's not the be all and end all.”

"Woodland flowers, 2015" by Colette Baumback

“Once in a while a painting goes just right and the completed work is exactly as you wanted it to be. The inspiration for this painting came about during a walk in the woods last week. I came across these tall, pink flowers of Rosebay Willowherb crowding together in a woodland clearing . They looked so vibrant amongst the greenery I couldn't wait to paint the scene, I wanted to incorporate the backdrop of green so I could convey the contrast of colour and light.”

"I Still Bloomed, 2015" by Jilly Henderson

“Using words adapted from a Kelsey Gustafsson quote this work is a little nod to anyone who has, or may be, doubting themselves....'I was the dandelion amongst roses... but nonetheless...I still bloomed. And that was enough for me...'”

"Feeling the Glory, 2014" by Sandra Roeken

“This work means so much to me. I made it after a sleepless night, early in the morning at 5 o'clock. It was the night after my first exhibition opening in a beautiful old mill in Greetsiel at the German North Sea. I walked through the little harbour, full of emotions and good feelings. The sun rose over the boats in the harbour. I was alone, no people, no tourists, just me and my camera. I can't describe my feelings. It was amazing. I love the mood and the atmosphere. A bit of fog, this light and the silence of nature. A little heaven to me at this moment.”

"Cedar Ridge Vineyard, 2014" by Nancy Lindsay

“This painting was inspired by a vineyard near my home in Iowa. It is painted with a variety of painting knives including a serrated one that leaves a unique gradient texture. This time of year the warm greens are especially beautiful in afternoon sun.”

"Six Pack, 2015" by Peter Slade

“Another painting of Coca Cola bottles!! I never tire of this most iconic of images, probably the most famous brand in the world and pretty much accessible to all. As Andy Warhol famously said "...the President drinks Coke, Liz Taylor drinks Coke, and just think, you can drink Coke, too. A Coke is a Coke and no amount of money can get you a better Coke than the one the bum on the corner is drinking."”

"Festival Season, 2015" by Helen Elliston

“Festival Season is a vibrant and intricate original acrylic painting capturing the vibe of summer festivals. It's a showstopper in colour and in atmosphere! My signature psychedelically contrasting palette creates an inspiring, uplifting scene. This piece took me over three weeks to complete; the speed of application is slow going with a fine brush and colour change at every stroke, but it was worth the effort to create such a joyous piece. I hope you enjoy it too!”

"Millview Terrrace, 2014" by Pedar Dillon

“This painting is a view into a time when neighbours knew each other, were always into each other's houses and lives, streets of tightly packed terrace houses enveloped in the smog from the near by factories. This is the community of my childhood and I love to bring it back to life in my paintings. The highlight of this scene is the new door being fitted with the old man sat reading the newspaper while the neighbour keeps the workman supplied with tea.”

"Paint Roller Pop Art Canvas, 2015" by Ian Viggars

“With this image I wanted to combine my love of bold graphic pop-style art with my love of abstract expressionism. The streak of yellow, green, and pink paint was applied freely using a paint roller. I then painted the roller itself into the painting in my usual pop style. I think this makes for a very playful, vibrant, and bold image.”

"Centrifugal Force: Part 3, 2015" by Anthony Crammen

““Centrifugal Force: Part 3’ is an acrylic painting on MDF inspired by Damien Hirst's spin paintings. Creating a truly abstract piece of work using no tools and only motion makes the end result unpredictable. The choice of colours are the only control within the piece, and even then they mix together to create new ones, giving the painting its own mind.”
