"The Crane and Snake, 2015" by Cally Conway

"The crane and snake are both symbolic creatures in many cultures; this image depicts them entwined and bound together, which in some way refers back to the Yin and Yang principle of one coexisting with the other. This is a two block linocut, the first block is printed in a blend of two colours, the second detail block or 'key' block is printed over the first image."

"The Spirit of Water III, 2015" by John O'Grady

“It's well known: there are 4 seasons in one day in Ireland. The moment when the atmosphere is filled with moisture carries its own charm. This is one such moment I captured in this painting. Moisture from the sky, from the sea and coming off the land mingle with each other. Where does one start and the other finish?”

"Wild rose II, 2014" by Dorota Janczar

“I love when the nature creates abstract forms, full of multi-colour reflections. Looking at some details in the "macro" view - one can see incredibly interesting forms, which normally cannot be seen. This particular wild rose grows in my father's garden just by the Varta river, my favourite relaxing spot.”

“A favourite spot of mine deep in the woods, a secret pond reflects the filtered light of the overhanging trees. In my usual impressionistic style with plenty of surface texture in acrylic, inks & a little gouache. Vibrant greens, yellows & touches of bright sky peeping through.”

"Welcome to Paradise, 2015" by Rocxis Ortiz

“This is a paradise I have in my dreams, and idyllic place I see in mind. Inside me I feel like summer and I had this strong desire of expressing it in picture. I wanted to convey the warmth, freshness and my love for the beach. I have always lived close to the sea and I feel I belong with it.”

"Bicycle, bicycle race" by KM Arts

“This 100 mile race had been cut short because of the hurricane the evening before but this did not deter the thousands of amateur cyclists who had signed up for this challenge. This painting was taken from a photograph I snapped very near the end of the race. I wanted to get the Elizabeth tower in the picture with the clock showing the time. The finish line was just around the corner at the Mall. The rain had stopped and the sun had come out if just for a brief few minutes so I was able to take a reasonable shot to use later. My son-in-law participated in this race, he actually cycled back home to Essex after the race and got there sooner than we did on the train!”

"In Summer, 2015" by Corinne Natel

“In Summer is a colourful abstract fluid painting, inspired by the wonderful elements of summer: flowing colours in nature, warmer climates, the long, lighter summer nights. Aspects of gold create flashes of shimmering colours and textures against a bright summery background to depict the feeling of the high point in summer.”

"Reverie, 2015" by Colette Baumback

“Reverie is a dreamy garden of flowers, a vision of hazy summer days when the air is heavy with the scent of blooms. This painting, in subtle tones of aqua and lilac, is all about texture which has been used to form the intricate layers of foliage.”

"Moana - In the Spirit of Aloha (50 x 40 cm), 2015" by Deleted Artist

“People of Hawaii - especially the native Hawaiians - are the most friendly human beings I've ever met. And, the women of Hawaii are really beautiful. I hope, you can recognize it in my painting (at least). Or maybe, when you live there, you see everything with different eyes, and everything seems to be lovely, pleasant, enjoyable, pretty and pleasing :-)”
