"Now or Never, 2015" by Cynthia Ligeros

“Now or Never is part of my geometric series. These geometric abstract oil paintings explore the subtle balance between order and chaos, darkness and light, structure and freedom. Immerse yourself in worlds of circles, lines and shapes that remain elusive even as they gradually reveal their inner secrets. In my work, circles and geometric forms tend to symbolize the dynamic and endlessly changing cycles of the self, the world, and life.”

"Majestic Elephant IV, 2015" by Arti Chauhan

“A recent watercolor portrait of a majestic African Elephant, painted quite expressively; with fine mist of color spatter used to mimic texture of the leathery skin. The colors used are mostly earthy, with tones of violet to create contrast. Though I have painted elephants many, many times, I still find them irresistible as subjects for my animal portraits. I try to depict the grandeur and magnificence of these animals in colors which are not there at all when you look at the real ones - but still manage to convey the sense of energy and vigor.”

"Autumn-V" by Stanislav Bojankov

Autumn is my favorite season - full of colors, subtle shades flowing into and over each other, full of new and different fragrances bearing nostalgic feelings associated with past and half-forgotten memories. This is a season in which you can use a vital and vibrant palette without worries and attempts to control the power of colors.

"Glass Reflections with Hydrangeas 2, 2015" by Louisa J Simpson

“Reflective surfaces play a large part in my paintings, because I like the use of symmetry in my work and I am often inspired by the shapes and patterns that you see in the Art Deco period. I also like giving a twist to the traditional still life composition by looking at everyday objects from an unfamiliar perspective and developing an abstract design from the shapes formed; the use of glass objects aid me in this pursuit because the shapes and colours of other objects are magnified through the glass.”

"Around the Bend, 2015" by Nancy Lindsay

“I completed this painting last week. It reflects my environment: The Midwest landscape. Painted from my imagination, I took elements from my memory of the rural landscape of eastern Iowa. The meandering country road I have often walked and the bend in the road that brings me to my ancestral farm.”

"Pas de deux, 2013" by Rob Borel

“Born a court dancer in the Italian renaissance, the ballerina is now an icon of performing art. At almost the exact same point in history, while the ballerina was gaining stage popularity, another star was born under the "big top"... the elephant. Although the ballerina and elephant never perform together they have much in common: gracefulness, mystery and an ethereal enchantment. My intention is to bring attention to animal cruelty. As beautiful and majestic as elephants are, they're literally kidnapped from their homes for human "entertainment"... not to mention the atrocities for the ivory trade.”

"Kalamata, 2015" by Evangelos Tzavaras

“Kalamata is a city in Messinia , Greece. This is the place where I have my best memories and a place that I really love. What I like a lot is the rust in the boat with so many bright colors. So much red , yellow and green. When I see this painting I am reminded of Kalamata with the mountain Taygetos.”

"The Patriot, 2013" by Donna Bernstein

“This piece represents the strength of the American horse that helped build the USA. Red white and blue. A true patriot and companion. Textured, dynamic, and full of the feeling of a strong work horse, standing ready in the fields, to pull a plough, run a race, deliver the mail, be in harness for a carriage, whether elegant or common. The horse has always done his work right beside us.”

"Gateway to Possibilities, 2015" by Andrew Alan Johnson

“At the height of summer, this piece reflects on evening as the day comes to an end, the little gate is a loyal reminder of the dawn and promise of a new day and even a new summer when this one has passed. Nature and hope together remind us of new gateways of opportunity.”

"The Land of Giants" by Marc Ehrenbold

“Africa has many iconic locations that are a must visit for photographers. A few years ago I was fortunate enough to be on safari near the Kenyan Tanzanian border. Setting off at sunrise, my goal was to shoot Mount Kilimanjaro in all its splendour. As with many things luck then decided to play an important role. A lone bull elephant ambled into my shot instantly adding context to this panoramic view. I quickly reframed, keeping him on the edge to appear more balanced and to leave space for any movement. The elephant I have since named Serendipity.”
