"It's When You're Frail I Love You Most (framed), 2015" by Paul West

“The Anglo-Saxon “Treow” means both ‘Tree’, and ‘Truth’. Inspired by the folk tale of king midas and the ass’s ears, this is one of a series of charcoals that imagine the trees listening to, and mirroring our thoughts, whispering back to us with their leaves in the wind.”

"Existential 12, 2015" by Lyra Morgan

“With Existential 12, I wanted to encapsulate the majesty and serenity of nature, particularly the transient nature of water with its ability to take many forms whether it be clouds or coating a landscape in a frozen carpet. Clearing the mind on a long walk in the mountains is a similar feeling to exploring colour on a canvas so it only seemed natural to put the two together! My paintings are created with feeling, built up in layers in acrylic paint and ink using a unique non-brush technique. I hope they ‘transport’ others special places or experiences.”

"Karma, 2015" by Kimberley Bruce

“Inspired by the rhythm of nature and the energies of colour and music, I strive to create art that generates emotion, art that reveals the beauty of things broken.”

"If flowers could be fireworks, 2015" by Claire Sadler

"I absolutely adore Hydrangeas! I love the way they burst into bloom. As an artist and gardener I am intrigued by how their colour can be manipulated depending on the pH of the soil. They can change from electric blue through to baby pink and I enjoy watching them become frilly and rusty as we move into Autumn. They were also my wedding flowers so they fill me with happy memories."

"Pond Life, 2015" by Suzie Cumming

“This piece is inspired by the colours and movement within a pond that I photographed on an overcast day. I was amazed at the vibrancy of colour that leapt out of the water, the bright orange and red fish and the almost superficial green colour of the pond weed against the dark water. I wanted to capture the light and easy movement of the fish alongside these vivid colours.”

"The Bluebird of Happiness 24" x 12", 2015" by Valerie Erichsen Thomson

"With the stress of holiday preparations, sometimes we forget the good times are just around the corner. Maybe the blues are a messenger that happiness is right there, staring us in the face, if we'll just shift our perspective. This painting of the Blue Bird of Happiness is painted around the corner of the painting, so if we just change our our point of view we can see the messenger staring right at us."

"Reef City, 2015" by Andrada Anghel

“I love to dive. When I cannot dive, I create my own special reef. I deep dive in my work and create that feeling of total quietness and tranquility, which can only be experienced underwater. I let my imagination and instinct to guide me and I create, layer after layer, that unique sensation of peacefulness.”

"Light Through Forest, 2015" by Teresa Tanner

"A rich impressionistic little painting using oil & inks to create a sense of calm using warm colours orange, terracotta, red, brown against a bright light source deep in the woods. As always I've added some birds - a throw back from my admiration of Breugel paintings."

"True Friends, 2015" by Elizabeth Westcott

“This is a painting of a meadow of daisies and buttercups, gently moving in the summer breeze. This meadow reminds me of spending carefree childhood days with true friends, in the countryside.”

"La Lune, 2014" by Sarah Cemmick

“Mr Hare is keeping a watchful eye while the full moon lights the way. This limited edition Lino cut depicts the hare as if it's just been caught unawares. I love to use the moon with the hare in my work, such a potent combination.”
