Art of the Day: "Unravel, 2014" by Sumit Mehndiratta

Art of the Day: "Unravel, 2014" by Sumit Mehndiratta

“Before making this piece, I was inspired from the several layers which I could see in nature. Layers of a flower, layers in a cabbage and so on. To represent the same effect, I picked up soothing colored papers on a white background. Inspired from the art of folding paper called origami, I created this circular abstract collage which represents unravelling of a living being and what resides within its core. The black color represents the materialistic wants and the white dot being the soul in its purity.”

Alexander Kriushin is works in the traditions of the European school of fine arts, combined with the southern temperament of execution. The artist travels a lot and works en plein air, but often a plain etude is just an excuse for further work, and then the work begins in the studio.

"Awareness, 2017" by Suzana Dzelatovic

With this painting, I tried to illustrate my meditative state of mind. Gold and everything that shines and has worth are inside us. We must close our eyes to see things clearly and to find our inner treasure. Original acrylic painting. Signed on the front. Unique and one of a kind with a certificate of authenticity.
