This piece utilises the earthy and shimmering colour of bronze against the sheer dark rocky cliffs, in contrast with the vibrant hues of teal and prussian blue lapping against the shoreline below, complementing the bright magenta and white sailing boats out at sea. I'm impressed by the fresh mountain air and bright colours of the Carpathian Mountains! A bright sunny morning in June in a mountain village. Alexander Kriushin is works in the traditions of the European school of fine arts, combined with the southern temperament of execution. The artist travels a lot and works en plein air, but often a plain etude is just an excuse for further work, and then the work begins in the studio.
