“‘The Venetian’ is a casual street scene featuring an Italian bistro. I was drawn to the long shadows and beautiful late afternoon light on the street. The café has the perfect setting with the beautiful balcony adorned with flowers and eye catching yellow and red sign. I love taking the ordinary and making it extra-ordinary. I paint from the heart and interpret my emotional response to a scene when I paint rather than making a copy of the photo.”
