“After one unsuccessful canvas, I've made another expressive and very gestural approach to my technique, scratching out all my paints and adding some pencil marks of the colours needed to complete. It was a great surprise to see the work come together!”

"This technique has taken several years to master. Many hours of trial and error. My process involves four stages: First, I paint the abstract artwork. Second, I photograph the art and other textures from nature. Third, I spend time going through thousands of images until I find the one portrait that will work. Fourth, I download all the different elements into a photo editor program. With each new piece a series of emotions come and go. The portrait will change and grow as it is manipulated. It is as if the soul emerges, revealing another person altogether."
