Art of the Day: "Streets of Vernazza..(2), 2014" by Cristina Mihailescu

“I like capturing the effect of the light in my paintings; I really love that joyful play between the light and shadows. I am also fascinated by colors; bold, vivid and healing colors, as I like to name them, expressed with powerful brush strokes in order to create a great visual impression. I also love to create a story as I paint...and yes! My painted stories always have happy endings. I think this painting is just one of my works that expresses a bit of everything that I love to create...color, light, emotion, texture, movement...and dreams. I hope you enjoy!”
