Art of the Day: "Stargazer, 2015" by Emma-Louise Ball

"This piece is part of the 'Seek Series'. It is inspired by summer nights in the Basque Country lying under the stars with my daughter gazing up into the glorious night sky and watching the stars twinkle. We like to name the stars and for us star gazing is about comfort and knowing that no matter where we are in the world we all see the same stars. We live about 14,000kms away from our family so star gazing is about connection to the planet, to the universe and to our loved ones."
