“‘So Shelter Me’ is a simple poetic expression of a basic human need for love, compassion, and shelter. This black and white photograph is a composite image created by layering and blending multiple photographic images. Here I am working exclusively with images produced by a medium format analogue camera on slow, fine grain black and white film. The film is then scanned and the final image assembled in the digital darkroom.”

The artist travels a lot and works en plein air, but often a plain etude is just an excuse for further work, and then the work begins in the studio.
