I'm impressed by the fresh mountain air and bright colours of the Carpathian Mountains! A bright sunny morning in June in a mountain village. Alexander Kriushin is works in the traditions of the European school of fine arts, combined with the southern temperament of execution. The artist travels a lot and works en plein air, but often a plain etude is just an excuse for further work, and then the work begins in the studio.
Based loosely on a series of Victorian photographs, Juliette's mixed media paintings combine timeless charm with the occasional cheeky nod to hipster chic. Celeste was made with oils, found objects, vintage papers, fabric, inks, and love. Comes signed and ready to hang on a 16"x16"canvas.
