“This small painting is part of a series of paintings where it is more important to the appearance, color rendering, textures, marks, and scratches on the surface, the use of different mediums such as acrylics, oil pastels and charcoals of the subject. Last but not least it is the surface used: a ceramic stoneware tiles, painted and then finished with transparent flatting, sometimes shiny, certain other opaque.”
