Art of the Day: "Madonna with Child, 2016" by Jake Nordstrum

“Madonna with Child is a cubist inspired oil painting on canvas. Most of my work begins spontaneously. I put down lines with charcoal pencil on canvas and just flow...reacting to each line in regards to composition and design. But as I was looking at the blank canvas, I could see what I wanted before I even touched it. Madonna with Child has been done over and over by artists for thousands of years and I thought I could put an interesting spin on it that people haven't seen before.”

We must close our eyes to see things clearly and to find our inner treasure. Original acrylic painting. Signed on the front. Unique and one of a kind with a certificate of authenticity.
