“Painting at a lavender farm is like aromatherapy for me! As a plein air artist, I'm lucky that I can transport my studio to a lavender farm for a few days. I spent three beautiful evenings escaping the summer heat capturing the last light hitting the trees on this lavender farm. Looking at this painting transports me to the memory of the birds singing and the flowers dancing as I painted without a care in the world.”
I'm impressed by the fresh mountain air and bright colours of the Carpathian Mountains! A bright sunny morning in June in a mountain village. The artist travels a lot and works en plein air, but often a plain etude is just an excuse for further work, and then the work begins in the studio.
