Art of the Day: "Happiness, 2016" by Mary Stubberfield

“'Happiness' is an uplifting large floral painting of poppies and cornflowers by the sea with butterflies. Deep pinks, blues and mauves give a feeling of warmth and joy. Each flower represents something in my life for which I am grateful, from a sunny day to having good eyesight. I like to meditate on the beauty of life and the butterflies are a symbol of transformation. The abundance of life in springtime when Mother Nature is waking up and our energy becomes vibrant after the long winter of reflection.”

Alexander Kriushin is works in the traditions of the European school of fine arts, combined with the southern temperament of execution. The artist travels a lot and works en plein air, but often a plain etude is just an excuse for further work, and then the work begins in the studio.

With this painting, I tried to illustrate my meditative state of mind. Gold and everything that shines and has worth are inside us. We must close our eyes to see things clearly and to find our inner treasure. Original acrylic painting. Signed on the front. Unique and one of a kind with a certificate of authenticity.
