“This painting captures the tender stage of a young girl on the verge of womanhood, her innocence, wonder and expectations as she awaits, and looks towards, the future. This painting is inspired by my daughter growing up. The particular posture I chose to paint struck me as being special in some way, exposing a vulnerability and elegance which touched me.”
