Art of the Day: "Existential 12, 2015" by Lyra Morgan

“With Existential 12, I wanted to encapsulate the majesty and serenity of nature, particularly the transient nature of water with its ability to take many forms whether it be clouds or coating a landscape in a frozen carpet. Clearing the mind on a long walk in the mountains is a similar feeling to exploring colour on a canvas so it only seemed natural to put the two together! My paintings are created with feeling, built up in layers in acrylic paint and ink using a unique non-brush technique. I hope they ‘transport’ others special places or experiences.”
